Clam Homes

CLAM HOMES OVERVIEW

CLAM’s founding desire was to create affordable homes nestled into the communities surrounding Tomales Bay, including: Tomales, Marshall, Point Reyes Station, Olema, Inverness Park, and Inverness. To date, CLAM has established homes in three of of our local communities, providing nine permanently affordable homes. In 2016 CLAM acquired an 8-unit apartment complex, the first affordable rental homes in Stinson Beach. In Spring 2017, CLAM acquired a 3-bedroom home at 31 Giacomini Road in Point Reyes Station which will be sold affordably later in the year.

In 2014, CLAM began working to acquire the Coast Guard housing site in Point Reyes Station, which could provide as many as 36 permanently affordable homes that serve all communities in CLAM’s service area.

An abiding ethic of CLAM’s work is to utilize building materials and practices that promote environmental sustainability. While key features are outlined below, please contact us for a fuller description of features associated with our homes.

CLAM’s area of focus is situated 50-plus miles north of San Francisco, close to the Point Reyes National Seashore, and within range of several State Parks.
