CLAM Housing Stabilizes Senior Care in West Marin

March 13, 2015 By Lisa Thompson

Manager of Local Senior Residential Facility Integrates Work and Home

“It is so wonderful that I live only five minutes away from my work. In a crisis, I can be there in a few minutes.”
—Natalia Meyerson

Natalia Meyerson was thrilled to move into CLAM’s very first affordable rental home, giving her the security of living close to her work at the local Assisted Living center. She relates:

“There are so few homes to rent in West Marin. I happened to notice an ad for a CLAM Affordable Home in the Post Office. I don’t know how my family was so lucky, but our application was chosen.”

It is so wonderful that I live only five minutes away from my work. My garden, being close to my work—these are things I will never take for granted. I love my home! I can talk to my staff or my seniors from my home if they need encouragement or have a question that the staff cannot answer. And then, in a crisis, I can be there in a few minutes and then home again when the situation is resolved.”
