2018 Donated Property Creates New Affordable Rental Homes!

Thanks to the Inverness Foundation’s generous gift and their vision for helping address the affordability crisis in West Marin, CLAM is the beneficiary of a property on Aberdeen Way from the estate of Inverness resident Leah Crane. This property includes a main house, cottage, and an acre of wetlands. The two homes, held and managed by CLAM, will remain affordable forever. These are the first permanently affordable rental homes in the village of Inverness. CLAM will also maintain and protect the fresh water wetland to support the Inverness watershed. The donation of this property to CLAM preserved the tenancy of one long-time tenant while also creating two new affordable homes. CLAM is grateful to the Inverness Foundation for making much-needed preservation of affordable homes possible.
