Volunteer
CLAM’s success is due in large part to the time and talent of countless community members. Here are some ways you can get involved.
Join the CLAM Board of Trustees. Do you have an interest in affordable housing in West Marin? If so, the Community Land Trust of West Marin (CLAM) is now accepting nominations for its Board of Trustees. The commitment is approximately 4 hours per month. Deadline is May 10 to submit your application. For more information or to be considered, please click this link.
Join a CLAM committee. Bring your experience and talent to one of CLAM’s committees: Property Committee, Fundraising Committee, Latino Advisory Committee, Finance Committee.
Participate in advocacy efforts. Currently, CLAM is a member of the Obstacle Removal Group—a coalition of West Marin organizations advocating with the County for reducing barriers to building second units for affordable rentals in West Marin. Advocacy efforts may include writing letters to legislators or attending hearings on issues of concern to CLAM.
Help organize events, such as CLAM’s Annual Meeting.
Host a house party to raise money and introduce new community members to CLAM (can be done online, too!).
Provide photography for CLAM’s publications and website.
Help with CLAM’s written materials by copyediting and proofreading.
Table at community events, such as the Inverness Fair and Point Reyes Farmers Market.
