Laura J. Giacomini, Development & Communications Director
Laura has over 20 years professional experience as a Development & Communications Director in the nonprofit field and holds an MBA in Nonprofit Administration from the American Jewish University. Her area of expertise is building infrastructure and putting policies and procedures into place to achieve organizational growth.
As a resident of Novato since 1971, Laura feels passionately about CLAM’s mission to provide affordable housing to West Marin residents. Prior to CLAM, Laura worked professionally in the affordable housing arena for both Habitat for Humanity East Bay and the Urban Housing Assistance Board. In a personal capacity, Laura has been an active leader of the Marin Organizing Committee’s Renter Protection/Immigration and Affordable Housing Teams since 2014. Affordable housing has personal meaning to Laura and is something she has modeled in her own life; she and her husband have rented rooms in their home to tenants for over 25 years.
Laura lives with her husband and their two pugs. In her free time, Laura enjoys visiting with her daughter and family, Israeli folk dancing, singing, and political activism.
